5 hacks to make your mornings less stressful – adhd mom

Every morning in my house is a bit of a mess. Trying to get my kids ready for preschool and school. And of course getting myself ready for work. Keeping track of time, managing tasks, and juggling everyone’s needs all at once can feel overwhelming, and even small delays can quickly turn the morning into chaos. It feels like there’s never enough time—making breakfast, finding the right clothes, packing bags, and making sure nobody forgets anything can turn into a constant whirlwind. My mind jumps between tasks, little things get lost, and before I know it, the clock is ticking and the stress is building. Even though I try to stay calm, mornings often feel chaotic, and I end up feeling exhausted before the day has even begun.

I have listed 5 hacks that I use to survive my stressful mornings:

  1. Caffe
  2. Caffe
  3. Caffee
  4. CAffee
  5. CAFFEE

I like milk in mine but that ’s optional ofc!!(You should not drink 5 cups of caffee directly in the morning, and neither do I! I spread it out throughout the day lol)

Okay, seriously—I’ve got some real tips too. You do numbers 1–4 the day before!

1. Make sure you get enough sleep. Go to bed a little earlier so you wake up more rested.

2. Move your body during the day. Go for a walk, lift something heavy, or play active games with the kids!

3. Eat good foods, something nutritious and filling – and don’t forget to drink your water!

4. Get everything ready the day before: pack the bags, lay out clothes, and prepare lunch. – for both you and the kids.

5. And finally, accept the chaos. The more you accept that you can’t control everything and everyone, the less stressed you’ll feel. Things you can’t influence? Don’t waste your energy on them. I know it’s hard, but it is a work in progress, you’ll get there!
