What Relationships Have Had a Positive Impact on You?
I like my relationships the way I like my tv series. Meaningful, deep and connected. I want the backstories, the mess – the everything. I want to care more than I planed to and be in it for real.
If we’re talking, my brain wants to go from “Nice to meet you” straight to “So what keeps you awake at night?” — no middle steps. I don’t need decades of shared history to feel close to someone in real life. I need presence, honesty and conversations that matters.
Small talk has never been my thing. Not because I don’t care — but because my brain gets bored approximately seven seconds in. “How’s the weather?” Yes. I see it. With my eyes. I’m curious in a different way. I want to know what shaped you. What you overthink at 02:00. What you’re passionate about, what drains you, and what you pretend doesn’t matter (but totally does). I want the layers. The side notes. The unexpected plot twists.
Just like in the tv series. The kind where you get to see characters grow, mess up, repeat the same mistake three times (relatable), and slowly evolve. I want to know why they do what they do. I want backstories. I want development. That’s how I want my relationships too. I don’t want a highlight reel. I want the extended director’s cut. I want Relationships that stays, and are deep, honest and real.
I’d rather have 1 true friend than a thousand shallow.
Thank you for reading!
