Do you spend more time thinking about the future or the past? Why?
I tend to think close to my present. Maybe one, two — at most three years ahead. Anything further than that doesn’t feel meaningful or helpful to me.
I rarely look too far back either. Not because I don’t want to, but because I don’t remember much from my childhood. And what has already happened is something I can’t change. I don’t dwell on it — but I do carry the lessons with me, letting them live in my present and guide my future.
Dreaming, though — that I enjoy. Dreams are light, open, and full of possibility. They give direction without creating pressure.
But worrying about what might happen ten years from now? I don’t give it a single thought. Stressing over potential problems helps no one — not me, and not the life that’s happening right now.
So I choose to live where I can actually make a difference: in the present, with my eyes gently forward and my feet firmly here. How about you?
