Actually, I got one of the best gifts I’ve ever received this last Christmas!
I’ve received so many beautiful presents over the years — big and small. Warm and thoughtful. Meaningful and close to my heart. Gifts filled with love and intention. Lovely crafted gifts from my children. And the best gifts are the ones where the person feeeels that I will like it. Not that they know that I have been wanting it, but when someone is like ”hey I saw this and thought of you”. I love those presents more than words can tell. It could be anything, like a thrifted vase or a handmade bowl. I love the warmth of the ”I know you”. So I guess that I really like the connection of it all, that some one knows me, listens and cares to remember things.
And this year, well – last year… I was so happy for my Christmas present that I literally jumped up and down like a little child. I cheered and I laughed out loud for a long time because I was:
- Very surprised – totally unexpected gift
- Very bubbly because of the ”I know you” feeling from it
- Safe to express my joy around my family
It was from my fiancé, father of our children. He had bought me my very first pair of perfectly, wonderful, brown, gorgeous….Overalls!!!
