Be Kind To Yourself – Daily Hug Quote | D23

I know — it sounds simple. Almost too simple. Like something written on a mug you once lost… twice.

But if you’re an ADHD mom, you know how hard this actually is. Because your days are loud. Your thoughts are fast. Your to-do list multiplies while you’re trying to remember why you walked into the kitchen. You try so hard. Every single day. To show up. To remember appointments. To answer messages. To be patient. To keep everyone alive and somewhat fed. And still, you might end the day feeling like you failed somehow.

Here’s the gentle truth:

You didn’t fail. You’re just human — with an ADHD brain running about 47 tabs at once, and one of them is playing music you can’t find.

Kindness doesn’t mean fixing yourself. It means sitting beside yourself instead of standing over yourself with a checklist. It means laughing when things get messy — because let’s be honest, messy doesn’t mean broken. It means forgiving yourself faster. It means noticing the small wins: the hugs you gave, the love you showed, the fact that you’re still trying.

If no one has told you today — you’re not behind, you’re not lazy, and you’re definitely not alone.

So take a breath. Lower your shoulders. And talk to yourself the way you would talk to a dear friend who’s doing their best. Because you are.

Just a little hug from me to you
