March is slowly coming to an end. One of those months where life feels full — almost too full. Weekend after weekend is filled with birthdays, and when it’s not a party, it’s work. Planning, shopping, preparing, hosting. Celebrations at home and celebrations elsewhere.
I turned 30 (!), my oldest turned 7 (!) and two other family members had their birthday too!
So – does anything really change after 30? Honestly… not that much. Maybe. Or maybe it’s more of a quiet shift. I feel a little more “properly grown-up” now. Which is funny, considering I already have kids, a house, a car, and a stable job. But somehow, turning 30 adds a new layer. Like when someone asks your age, there’s no hesitation—30 is undeniably adult. And I like that. I’m grateful to grow older; not everyone gets that privilege.
I was celebrated in the best way, and my fiancé absolutely nailed the gift—again (just like at Christmas). A pair of Wooden Clogs(link), and I’m obsessed with them, I mean look! Farmer life here I come!!!
Our oldest, now seven years old. A milestone, of course—but also something that stirred a lot of emotion in me. My fiancé and I were seven the first time we met. Imagine that… it could just as well be that my child has already met their future partner. That thought fills me with bubbles!
He got some really cool birthday gifts from our lovely family and friends. Even though the gifts is always just a bonus – being together is the real gift, I still like to share some gift ideas with you!
From us, he got nothing less than a Digital Camera and an old cd player – 90’s kids throw back!!! We bought this Easy Digital Camera, and he really loves it! And I thrifted the cd player!
This 3D pen is highly addictive and sooo much fun! I might need to get one for myself as well! It was way better than I expected!
He also go these Minecraft Magnetic Blocks, very fun and creative!

Reading books is something we do a lot, he reads really well so he got some new books too:
Solar System Book – kids age 8-12
Brother Lionheart book by our favorit author
My kids always gets some clothes as well, this year he really wanted some Pokémon clothes so he got this Pikashu Onepice and loved it!
And even tho we try to keep our screen time down, we decided to buy a family game to play together, this Super Mario game for Nintendo switch. But also this Lego family board game

We also thrift a lot of the gifts. I did find a bunch of Pokémon cards, clothes and some other books as well. You don’t have to buy the newest or the fanciest. You can second hand find almost everything and that’s even better, for everything. The environment, the wallet and the conscience. And my ADHD brain who’s seeking dopamine all the time, well I get the joy without getting broke…
Besides all of our birthday celebrations we actually found some moments to craft. My kids are very different in what they enjoy doing, but when it comes to clay, beads, drawing, and painting, they always end up side by side. Those are the moments I love the most — when they meet in the same little world, even if just for a while.

My seven-year-old is likes LEGO, and has a big interest in Minecraft and Pokémon. While my three-year-old loves… well, pretty much everything. There’s been a steady production of bracelets lately, and she’s happiest just being included — whether it’s crafting, cooking, or even helping clean. For her, it’s not about what we do, but that we do it together.

And now, finally, spring is starting to show itself. The air feels softer, the days a little longer, and being outside is actually enjoyable again. So whenever we get the chance, that’s where we go. Outside.
Our march is always very stressful, but looking back now, I can se now how much fun we actually had too. Grateful.
Bye bye March and welcome lovely April!
