Be Present, Time Flies

The days are long but the years are short, aren’t they? One day you’re chasing tiny feet across the living room, and the next they’re suddenly taller than you and asking to borrow your shoes (not yet for me but that time is coming, fast)

We live in a world where the screens takes up to much of our time. We spend hours a day looking at other people’s lives, people we don’t even know, and then complain about not having time to play whit our own kids.

What do you want your kids to remember their childhood like? Well I know I want my kids to think of their childhood like a happy, fun and loving time. With mom and dad playing, connecting and was always there – present.

I know I struggle the urge to look at my phone as soon as it buzz, I even get fake buzzing in my legs with empty pockets sometimes?? That’s must a warning sign to drop the phone. But I know, it is easy dopamine, fast information and a fomo(?). But we all need to be better. For our kids and their whole generation may be. We can be better, we can choose to be better. Do it.

Put the phone down. Be present. The texts can wait. Scrolling can wait. But these little moments with your kids? They won’t. And one day, you’ll look back and realize those everyday seconds were the ones that mattered most.
